PGECET 2012 Counselling Dates

GATE and also applied for PGEC or who had qualified PGECET 2012 exam can expect  Counselling schedule soon.

Many students are in search for PGECET 2012 counselling dates. Last year the counselling is delayed a lot due to telangana issue and various strikes. But this year we can hope that counselling can start at an earlier stage.

But till now the counselling notification is not released officially. Once it releases, it will notified on this blogspot

Many students are also having doubts whether they can get seat in their desired college or not. I want to clarify that first priority is always given to GATE qualified student. The seats which are left vacant after admitting PGEC students will only be filled by PGECET 2012 students. So PGEC (GATE qualified) students always enjoy high chances of getting seat.

Also students will require to pay fee for PGECET 2012 counselling. For example for the last year Processing fee for Certificate Verification PGECET 2011 is Candidates belonging to open category and Backward classes have to pay processing fee of Rs.600/- and Candidates belonging to SC/ST have to pay a fee of Rs.300/-. This fee is applicable for last year and not meant for this year.

Also GATE qualified students are eligible to get scholarship amount Rs.8000/- per month from MHRD. Where as PGECET qualified students may eligible for only fee reimbursement scheme if they come under economic backward class.

If you are interested to know whether you can get seat in your desired college or not then the last year allotment may give a hint on this. Just visit http://pgecet.apsche.ac.in/ and see last year allotment i.e. PGECET/PGEC 2011 Allotment, so that it can clarify some of your doubts.

Once the official notification related to counselling releases it will notified.Be in touch with us.

EAMCET tentative Counselling schedule released

Congratulation good news for EAMCET and GATE/PGECET applicant waiting for M.Tech Admission. With the news printed in leading English Newspaper Deccan Chronicle,  it is confirm that the counseling will start soon.

News printed in Deccan Chronicle

The AP High Court on Friday hoped that the Admissions and Fee Regulation Committee would act independently in fixing the fee for the engineering courses for the academic year 2012-13. With the issue of common fee for engineering colleges back to square one, after AP High Court on Friday ruled that the fees have to be fixed as per recommendations of the Admissions and Fee Regulatory Committee, the state government has intensified efforts to ensure all colleges accept its proposal of `35,000 as the common fee.
While many colleges have already yielded, the government is learnt to be making efforts to ensure all others submit affidavits to this effect to the AFRC by Saturday evening.
The AFRC is scheduled to meet on Saturday to decide
the fee structure in engineering colleges and recommend it to the government on Monday.
The ‘pressure tactics’ adopted by the government seemed to have worked to a large extent, with 724 colleges submitting affidavits to AFRC till Friday accepting `35,000 as the common fee. Of them, 430 are engineering colleges, 73 MBA, 36 MCA and 185 are pharmacy colleges.
Sources said the government deliberately ‘leaked’ information on Friday that colleges that fail to submit affidavits accepting ` 35,000 as the fee have to face the ‘consequences’ in the form of raids and inspections, among others.
Pressing the panic button,
many college authorities made a beeline for the AFRC on Friday itself to submit their affidavits, sources said.
Prominent groups such as Malla Reddy Group of Institutions, MLR, St
Mary’s and Holy Mary, which run a chain of professional colleges, submitted affidavits to AFRC accepting the prescribed fee.
The Committee is likely to recommend the fee proposed by the government,
contending that the managements had approached them seeking `35,000 as fees in affidavits.
While nearly 200 colleges are still to submit affidavits to the AFRC, the government is hopeful that they will also fall in line by Saturday evening. The government expects only a handful of colleges to not yield to the pressure tactic and seek a further hike, but officials indicated that they can ‘deal’ with managements of these institutions later.
The government is keen on starting Eamcet engineering counselling from August 27, as per the tentative schedule it had submitted to the High Court on Thursday.
Counselling from August 20, says SCHE The tentative schedule announced by the SCHE AFRC recommendations will be sent to the state government on August 18.
Eamcet convener notification will be issued on August 20.
Date of certification will be on August 27.
The aspirants can enter their option on August 29.
Seats would be allotted on September 12 and class es be commenced from September 17.

EAMCET and PGECET/GATE 2012 Counseling Soon

Congratulation good news for EAMCET and GATE/PGECET applicant waiting for M.Tech Admission. With the news printed in leading English Newspaper Deccan Chronicle, it is confirm that the Management of the Engineering Colleges will be ready for the government fix fee.

Now it is expected that with in one week engineering counseling is going to be started so be ready with the entire required document.

It is also expected that the PGECET 2012 counseling will be announced with in ten days, as the convener already said that they will announce the counseling schedule after the notification of the EAMCET.

News printed in Deccan Chronicle

As a sop for agreeing to the government’s common fee of `35,000, managements of engineering colleges will get a free hand in allotting the 30 per cent management quota seats from this year.

This means that the colleges can auction the seats and allot them to the highest bidder without fearing any backlash from the government or other regulatory bodies.
This is great news for the top 100 Engineering colleges in the state in which there are huge demands for management quota seats.

They are now expected to charge anywhere between `15 lakh and `20 lakh depending on the demand.

Though the government had earlier threatened to conduct online admissions for management quota seats to check the sale of seats, college managements had secured an assurance during their meeting with CM N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and the Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha that the state would not interfere in the management quota admissions or the amount collected for the same. As the state had to restrict the common fees to `35,000 — a hike of just `4,000 — to lessen its fee reimbursement burden, the free hand to allot management quota seats will come as a compensation for colleges.

The effect of the “deal“ is already visible with the managements suddenly jacking up seat prices and openly demanding donations. With the delay in Eamcet counselling, they have already collected the old management quota fees of `95,000 from parents for “booking” seats in advance.

They will now ask for donations ranging from `10 lakh to `15 lakh after the clarity came regarding the common fees.

Fee hike leaves parents in shock Parents, who expected the management quota fee to fall with the state reducing it from `95,000 to `35,000, are shocked as it has now actually increased manifold.
