Exam is on 15 July 2012.
After Qualifying in written test  E-mail will be send to shortlisted Candidate with Call letter for Interview.
To and Fro Railway second class ticket will be posted to the address of shortlisted candidate.
Examination Details

The examination will be of 2 hours duration and candidates will have to answer 150 questions (multiple choice, objective type). The Written Test will have two parts. One part will constitute 50 questions from general aptitude and other part will have 100 technical questions from the respective discipline. 
General Aptitude will cover the following:
  • General Awareness covering economics, industry, oil & energy, world affairs, Indian culture, sports etc. 
  • English Language proficiency covering reading comprehension, english language usage and grammar
  •  Quantitative Aptitude & Reasoning
There will be negative marking in the written test. 1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong answered question

Eamcet ranks to be announced Today

The Eamcet-2012 results will be announced on Friday at 6 pm. The marks and ranks will be sent by SMS directly to the students’ mobile numbers provided in their application forms. The results were earlier scheduled to be announced on June 30. However, as deputy chief minister Damodar Raja Narasimha has to take part in the SC/ST sub-plan meeting scheduled in Kurnool on Saturday. JNTU-Hyderabad, which conducted Eamcet, was forced to advance the release of the results by a day. The deputy CM will release the results at JNTU-Masab Tank.

Eamcet 2012 Result And Ranking Criteria

JNTU Hyderabad officially Declared June 30th 2012 as EAMCET 2012 results date


EAMCET 2012 Engineering E Category Ranking Criteria :

EAMCET 2012 Final Merit List will be Prepared order on the basis of combined score obtained by giving 75% Weightage to the marks secured in EAMCET and 25% weightage to the marks secured in the relevant group subjects namely Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry of the qualifying examination.
Tie Breaks:
In case if more than one student securing the same combined score obtained as mentioned above, the tie shall be resolved to decide the relative ranking by successively considering the following
  1.  The total marks secured in EAMCET
  2.  The Marks secured in mathematics in EAMCET
  3.  The marks secured in Physics in EAMCET
  4.  The Percentage of Aggregate marks secured in the qualifying examination
  5.  If the tie still persists the date of birth of the concerned candidates, the older being given preference    over the younger.

M.Tech Admission In Andhra Pradesh College Through GATE

Eligibility:
  •  The Candidate should be of Indian Nationality 
  •  The Candidate should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh
  •  Candidates should obtain at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belongs to reserved category) in qualifying degree examination.

  • Post Graduate Engineering Common Admission in a AP State Level Admissions into Regular PG Courses in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Pharmacy and Planning (ME / M.Tech. / M.Pharmacy / M.Arch / M.Plg.) Courses for the academic year 2012-2013 conducted by University college of Engineering, Osmania University on behalf of A.P. State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), a statutory Body of the Government of A.P., Hyderabad.
  • Both GATE / GPAT qualified candidates  and  PGECET  – 2012 qualified candidates are considered for admission into ME / M.Tech. / M.Pharmacy / M.Arch / M.Plg. Courses.
  • A  separate notification  with details of admission schedule, certificates / documents to be produced etc. will be issued in the month of July 2012.
  • Preference will be given to GATE / GPAT Candidates in admissions to various PG Professional Programmes in the colleges of the State of Andhra Pradesh, and only after exhausting GATE / GPAT qualified candidates, the remaining  vacant seats will be filled with PGECET-2012 qualified candidates as per the merit order.
  • All PG programs  of part-time / sponsored shall not come under the purview of convener and admissions to such courses are done by the respective universities.
  • GATE / GPAT candidates who wish to seek admission are required to apply / register through online only (printed hard copy of the applications will not be accepted).
  • It is not necessary to apply / register separately for multiple courses. One application / registration is sufficient for all eligible courses.
  • The registration fee is Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- in case of SC / ST).
  • Candidates should satisfy local / non local status requirements as per AP GO MS No. 153 dated: 22-08-2007
  • AP policy on reservation shall be followed in PG admissions for the Convener seats.
